Catching Fire

Paper Towns

    The ninth book I finished is Paper Towns by John Green. This books has three hundred and five pages. The book is about Quetin ‘Q’ Jacobsen and Margo Roth Spiegelmen who find a dead corpse. The dead corpse is how Q and Margo begin their unbreakle bond, nine years later they soon grow apart. This book is under the mystery and young adult section. I would reccommend this book because Paper Towns keeps you on your toes.

Alexander Hamilton

    The eighth book I finished reading is Alexander Hamilton by Ron Chernow. This book has eight hundred and thirty two pages. This books talks about Alexander Hamilton’s life, it also included a bit of Hamilton’s friends.
I recommend this book for people who enjoy learning about history and want to understand more of Hamilton;An American Musical.

The Hunger Games

The first book I finished is The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. The Hunger Games has three hundred and seventy two pages. The Hunger Games is the first book from ‘The Hunger Games’ series.
   The Hunger Games is a book talking about Katniss Everdeen experience in the ‘Hunger Games’. This book takes place in the future, post- apocalyptic of Panem in North America. In the book, the ‘Hunger Games’ is a tournament where a girl and boy, who are 12- 18 years old, from district one- district twelve. The ‘Hunger Games’ are ruled over by the Capitol, since the Capitol rules the district.
    The Hunger Games is a action packed book.

      Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone House Editon: Ravenclaw 

  The second book I read is Harry Potter and Philosopher’s Stone House Editon: Ravenclaw by J.K Rowling. The book has three hundred and fifty pages. Harry Potter and Philosophers’s Stone is the first book from the ‘Harry Potter’ series.
     Harry Potter and Philosopher’s Stone House Editon: Ravenclaw starts with talking about Ravenclaw. The book talks about the house founder, important people who were in Ravenclaw, the house ghost, etc. It then starts the book, where we get introduced to the main/supporting characters of the series, this includes Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Professor Dumbledore, Neville Longbottom, etc. It also gives us an introduction to the villain of the story, Voldemort. It ends with a quiz of the book and more information about Ravenclaw.
   This book has a plot twist that you wouldn’t except when you first read it.

   

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

     The third book I read is Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets  by J.K Rowling. This book has three hundred and forty one page. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is the second book of the ‘Harry Potter’ series.
     Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is about Harry Potter’s second year at Hogwarts, his year having minor annoyances, until a major problem starts, Hogwarts students start turning to stone! In this book we find out who/what is doing this.
     Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets genre is Fantasy and Detective Fiction. I enjoyed reading this book because we get to find out who/what is turning people into stone, keeping you on edge the whole time.
   
     

Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Rings


    The fourth book I read is Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Rings by J.R.R Tolkien.This
book has four hundred and seventy nine pages. This book is the first book of a trilogy.
    Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Rings is a story about the future of a civilization, rests in the fate of the One Ring. Fate has chosen the young hobbit, Bilbo Baggins who inherits the Ring. A tough quest is upon him, throwing the ring into a mountain.
    Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Rings genre is Fantasy. I enjoy this book because it is an action pack book, talking about mythical animals, with tough decisions along the way.

 

Middle School: the Worst Years of my Life

         The fifth book I finished is a book that I read with the my teacher/classmates Middle School: The Worst Years of my Life. The book has two hundred and eighty one pages. This book is the first book of the ‘Middle School’ series.
    The book starts off with a hint of the plot twist ahead. The main character in this book is, Rafe Khatchadorian, who is starting off the first year of middle school. Along the way, Rafe decides to spice up his year in middle school, by breaking all the rules in school. Throughout the book, Rafe handles hardships that he has to solve. I enjoy that book because it has something you wouldn’t think would happen.

The Raven

   The sixth book I finished is a poem called The Raven by Allan Poe. The book has forty six pages. This book is only includes The Raven.
    It starts off with a man who seems uncomfortable inside his own house. It then leads off with a raven coming inside the house the man is in, displeasing the man. It ends with the man leaving the house.
    I enjoyed reading this book because, it is something I would read on Halloween or close by Halloween.

The Keepers: The Box and the Dragonfly

  The seventh book I read is The Keepers: the Box and the Dragonfly by Ted Sanders. The book has five hundred and thirty three pages. This book is first of a series.
  The Keepers: the Box and the Dragonfly is a story about Horace Andrews going to a story called “The House of Answers”. Inside The House of Answers, Horace finds a special item, the box. This box, the Fel’Daera, isn’t like any other box it has a power people could only dream of having, with this power Horace meets Chloe who also has a item, a dragonfly. Together, Horace and Chloe has the power to change the world, for the better or for the worst.
    I enjoyed reading this book because, it brings a lot of science fiction, something I never really enjoyed before, and made it interesting.
